Poem: Let them speak.

Let them speak

To do it like the mothers before
As if you once lived in the time past
To stay for your children
Forgetting you are all flesh,

To do it like the men before
As if you once lived in the time past
To stay like the head you are
They know not the woman better than you ,

To tie closely around the hands the leaf of stay put always
When everything is taking left turns
Silenced with everything that breathes not
They know not the burns it’s leaving us with.

Poem: Her Veil

Impatience trampled heavily on her

With little effort, making a thrall out of her

The days jabbered incessantly

Mocking the veil that is now long

Relishing their time together

When her lips would pout then

Of her sunrise, it speaks

Her skin were no match for flakes

For it thrived with her beautifully

The sunrays rejoiced in her glory

Gracing her with golden skin prompts

Her father’s house tell tales of conjugal bliss

Tonguesters blabbing the visits of no male

Like they would thread the strong hand of metals

From the Creator as though our father

They spoke of sunsets to make her skin crawl

They mock the veil that is now long

Like on the cliff’s edge she stands

To knot now or never

Were the Creator’s timing a see through

Her confident demeanor would have persuaded others.

She would find true love…at the right time, with the right person.
